Call for Proposals

​The Great Lakes Coastal Assembly is pleased to announce that the 2026 Great Lakes Coastal Symposium will take place from October 26 - 28, 2026, in Huron, OH, at the Sawmill Creek Resort. 

This year’s symposium will bring together conservation practitioners, scientists, students, coastal wetland stakeholders, and community members for an engaging program featuring plenary and invited speakers, submitted presentations, workshops, networking opportunities, and field trips.

We welcome a range of topics, especially those pertinent to the Symposium's theme of Building Partnerships, Measuring Progress: The Future of Great Lakes Coasts. You are invited to submit your proposal and be part of this collaborative gathering shaping coastal conservation across the region. Deadline for presentations: May 31, 2026 5:00 PM CT.

Important Information

  • REGISTRATION: Presenters are required to register and pay to attend the conference at the applicable rates. Registration opens June 22, 2026​
