Student Travel Awards
For the 2026 Great Lakes Coastal Symposium, we invite student presenters to apply for travel awards. A limited number of awards will be available for eligible students who are planning to be a part of an oral or poster presentation at the conference.
Scholarships will be announced beginning August 15th on a rolling basis. All applications must be received by August 31 to be considered.

The student travel award includes:
- Full conference registration
- $300 travel stipend which may be used to cover food, gas, rental car and/or flight
- 2 night hotel reservation if traveling more than a 1 hour drive from Huron, OH
Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy:
- Cancellation requests received on or before October 16, 2026, will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.
- No refunds will be issued after October 16, 2026.
- Registration substitutions are permitted at no additional charge through the start of the symposium.
