Location & Accommodations

The 2026 Great Lakes Coastal Symposium will be held at the Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, Ohio. A discounted group rate is available for Symposium participants. Rooms may be reserved at this rate until September 26, 2026, or until the room block is full, whichever occurs first.
Make a Reservation Online
​Please follow these steps to make a reservation in the group block:
  • Select your preferred stay dates within the event rate window (10/26/2026–10/29/2026).
  • In the “Special Codes,” select “GROUP/BLOCK.”
  • Enter the group code: GLAKES26
  • If paying by credit card, please book online to avoid processing issues.

Additional Information
  • A $50 fee applies to any cancellation.
  • Cancellations received within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit the first-night deposit.

Traveling to Sawmill Creek Resort
For those flying, the nearest airport is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), located approximately 55 miles from the resort. There is currently no dedicated conference shuttle service. Guests may arrange transportation via rental car, rideshare services, or private shuttle providers.

The drive from CLE to Sawmill Creek Resort takes about one hour, depending on traffic. We recommend arranging transportation in advance for a smooth arrival.
